Rochelle Junior Tackle
Bringing tackle football to the Rochelle area for over 50 years.
Tackle football is open to boys and girls in 5th through 8th grade. There are no tryouts — every player who registers makes the team. RJT supplies all the required equipment; players just need cleats, an open mind and a willingness to learn and work hard.
Our coaching staff is dedicated to both the game and the RJT program — preparing, completing safety courses, attending clinics and meetings, and doing whatever it takes to become better coaches for these young athletes.
Equipment Handouts
Helms Field Locker Rooms, 4:30 – 5:45 pm
- 8th Grade — Thursday 7/24
- 7th Grade — Wednesday 7/23
- 6th Grade — Tuesday 7/22
- 5th Grade — Monday 7/21
Registration must be paid and fundraiser money turned in before equipment goes home. Players may bring their own mouthguard if preferred.
Practice Schedule
A valid sports physical is required to practice.
- First practice — Monday, July 28, 5:30 – 7:30 pm
- First 3 weeks: Monday – Friday
- Starting August 18: Tuesday – Thursday
